Attack on Pearl Harbour!

The Day of 7th December 1941 is remembered as the day which changes the course of History of World War II and hence of the history of the world. On this Day, the Imperial Japanese Navy attacked the United States Pacific Fleet stationed at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii. As a result United States declared war upon Japan and joined the course of World War – II.Commemorative stamps as well as coins were issued on 50th and 70th year to remember the incident. On 1991 – 50th year of the attack USA issued 29 cent postage stamp which features a burning ship. Whereas, The Republic of Marshall Island issued a commemorative coin of $10 which features Navy and Army combatants on reverse along with an inscription: “To the heroes of Pearl Harbour”
In 2011 the Pearl Harbour incident completed 70 years. On this occasion, US government issued a series of commemorative medals paying homage to the heroes of the war.
